On September 22,2019 the foundation hosted its signature event the Polka Dot Trot. Over 525 participants registered and completed the 5 km walk for cancer care. All funds raised stay here in the province and help cancer patients and their families.

The Polka Dot Trot is about strength and connections, and facing challenges together. It’s about cancer – all cancers – and the people it touches. When a participant registers they choose the color of the shirt that represents the cancer they have been affected by the most. This allows participants to connect with those affected by the same form of cancer. The sea of color on event day is so inspiring and represents hope and strength.
